My female betta, Cyan died last night. I couldn't sleep because I felt it was my fault. I left her in the corner of the kitchen with some plants in a small 3g tank. I did feed her everyday but never attended to her like how I attended to my other pets. I don't think she could ever forgive me.

Don't be too hard on yourself, she'll forgive you if you've learned something from her death.

Thanks guys... I don't think I can ever keep another female betta. I'm afraid it'll just remind me of her which is painful.

When you're ready, I know there's a baby betta girl out there waiting for someone like you to bring her home and care for her.

Apply what you've learned, in this way you will be honoring Cyan's memory, I'm sure she'd be pleased.

I'm not going to say "don't blame yourself" because I've been there (a betta I had died when the heater went too high for several days) and know that there's no point to saying that, but know that we all make mistakes. and our pets understand this (sometimes better than we do).
