Thank you. I am okay, and to tell you the truth, she is the first of my bettas that I actually prayed would not last long. She ate the gravel and I could do nothing for her and she was so miserable. I could not find a place to sell me clove oil and I did not think I could do any of the other things to euthanize her so I was relieved when she died as soon as she did. I will miss her. My lovely little girl.

My little Kung Fu, aka Foo, died a couple of nights ago. It broke my heart.

His little gentle life taught me much. I will miss him.

Yes, it is sad to lose our little friends, but I started this thread because I felt that memorializing our friends would in some way help to give us some closure and let us tell others how much we love them. This is an important part of healing and Bettas are so "human" it is very much like losing a child or a loved member of the family.

Anyone is welcome to use this area and I do hope it comforts those who do.

Thank you, Rose. It does help. Not everyone understands fish love. I don't expect them to but it's nice just the same to have a place where people feel just as tenderhearted towards their swirly fish companions as I do. Thanks for doing this.

In case no one has noticed, we have expanded our Memorial section now to include the other species beyond the bettas. It is just as hard to lose other fish that are loved and cared for. If you feel that you wish to you may place a small statement about your little friend here.

INARI, MAY YOU REST IN PEACE YOU WERE A GREAT COMPANION

For those of you who have have helped me through all of the problems that I had with Inari (and Tenshi) I thank you from the bottom of my heart. He was a great little guy...Although he has passed on to the great fishbowl in the sky....INARI YOU WILL BE MISSED DEARLY!!!!
