And then there were 3

Another one of my diamond tetra died a few days ago. I had 5 now I am down to 3. I have read they can live between 2-5 years. So all of mine are probably old but the one female left who I assume is the one surviving fry. We found her like almost 1.5 years ago. She looked like a clear neon.
I hope they rest live a little bit longer. I haven't been able to find anymore locally.

RIP Little diamond tetra boy.

Sorry about your little guys. Diamond tetras are beautiful fish. I would love to have some in my tank if I could find some near me. When a fish dies, especially of old age, you just have to know that you gave it the happiest life that you could. I hope you find some more of those little guys. Maybe your three will breed for you if you have males and females left (though I don't know how easy it is to breed them).

They bred for us once...a fluke. I think if we had them in the right conditions like we did then...a very heavily planted 120g, I think they may breed again. I just hope they don't die off in the process of me planting up my 44g diamond corner tank.
