Today I came home from being out of town for three days and the first thing that I did was check on all of my fishies. Everything looked fine and my new plants even came and I planted two of my tanks full of plants. When it was time to feed my fish I searched for Puffer in the sea of plants that grow in his tank. Oto was at the bottom just sitting there looking at me and Puffer was nowhere to be found. I carefully removed all of the plants from the tank and found Puffer's body floating in a corner. All of the water levels were good and the temperature was normal, so I have no idea what caused it. I am so bummed because his tank is right next to my bed and he always keeps me company when I am in my room. It was wierd flushing him because he seemed so much more like a person to me than a lot of my other fish. He really had his own personality. I don't know if I'll get another dwarf puffer to go in the tank because I don't really feel like he can be replaced. What a sad end to an exhausting weekend.

Bugger, sorry for ya loss. If the flush dont feel right, then dig a hole... get another one, you can't replace him.. but you can get another, and who knows, he / she may just have a personality too..

So sorry for your loss. Puffers have the cutest lil faces. Id find another and give it a good home. But I would check the water quality first and do a bit of a water change as well, before bringing in another one.

Sorry to hear of yur loss. We all know how it feels,,, and I agree, in time you will come across another puffer who wants such a good, loving home.

We're sorry you lost puffer. They do have a LOT of personality and are great little pets. He can never be replaced, but sometime in the future you can love another puffer in his honor.
