Goodbye Bettas
They were doing fine one minuet, but then they were dead. They had ick. The heater wouldn't get that high, so the ick wouldn't go away. I bought ick medican(sp) but that didn't work. Then Charlie came down with finrot. I put medican(sp) in for that, but it didn't work. Today when I woke up they were botht dead. I don't know what went wrong... They were perfectly healthy before the ick, and everything was normal. I feel really bad, they were really good bettas. R.I.P Norma and Charlie.

Well, remember Charlie was flaring and staring at his reflection alot....so he was stressed and probably became more weakened, unable to overcome being sick. Even humans can get ill, but with multiple illness it can be too much to overcome.  about the medicine...ick will usually go away with the higher water temp.but if the heater wouldn't keep the temp high enough....Bettas can be a challenge to keep for any of us.... |

Oh, never thought of that... The platy fry are gone, don't know what happened to them, unless they are hiding. I really liked the bettas, but I'm not sure if I'm getting anymore I really miss Charlie and Norma...

Yup...you've got alot to look after, fish, hamster, cat....you should be plenty busy  I'm sorry I was right, when I said Star would be playing in her wheel all night. I hope you can kep her safe from the cat too, she probably thinks Star is a mouse...you know what cats think of mice  |

Haha, and the wheel squeaks. My brother complained about it in the morning, and I have a bird too. Oh and a hermit crab. Just one pet short of having a zoo! Wait! Where's Star!? EEK!

Sorry about your fishies. It's really sad when you lose a pet that you care about.
BTW, try a plastic hamster wheel for Star. I got one when I had a hamster and there was no more squeaking all night! Post a pic of her if you can. I love furry little hamsters  |

And on top of all that, I lost both platy fry that were in the tank. I am mad at the medicen(sp) and am never buying that kind again. I really miss having them to watch, now I have an empty tank in my room.
Oh, and the wheel is plastic, lol it still squeaks.
