I don't know what happened

My German Blue ram cheif the one I always talk about the one who runs the tank just died and I watched him take his last breath. He was my favorite He somehow survived everything in that tank. He was fine earlier today though his colors looked a bit off. but then not too long ago I found him "sitting" on the bottom of the tank. I tried to help him but he's dead now...I never thought I would cry over a fish..I'mm too upset right now to even put up a picture...He was the best fish ever.

That is terrible, I know the feeling, I just lost a zebra danio, and even though I didn't have him long at all I tried so hard to save him to no avail, and even that hurt pretty bad, I hope you understand that your fish is in a better place now, where the water is always clear and there are no glass walls holding him back.

We know how you feel and he was a good pet, he deserves mourning. He might have just reached his old age.

Don't mourn too long, it wasn't your fault, just keep a positive mind as best you can. Just remember that he lived a long happy life in your care, thats all he could have wanted.

Hi laLynya...
I am so sorry to hear about Chief... I understand how you feel, there are some fish that just grab our hearts and do not let go. Your Chief was one of those fish...
I also have a lone male GBR and I can relate. I brought him a girlfriend and he was soooo happy, after being the only one of his species for so long. Within four days, she was gone. And he is back to being alone...
Dont give up on this wonderful species of fish.. they are really great lil guys in a tank!

.... Rest in Peace Chief...

I would get one but they are a little sensitive to water conditions for me, so I won't get one until I am sure I can keep it happy and healthy, They are beautiful fish btw.
