Tonight, about 90 minutes ago, our peach dalmation Betta Sora died while we held the little container he was in. He couldn't get off the bottom anymore at the end so we put him into the little container and floated it by the front while we talked to him. He died of internal parasites. We treated him Sat. afternoon but i was stupid and forgot to take the carbon out. He struggled all day yesterday and today and it was too late for the meds i added this afternoon. At least he's at peace now. We'll always miss our little blue-eyed finicky Betta who was so gentle and survived 3 weeks at deathco in his cup before we gave in and took him home with a new tank. He was a super-mild sweetheart who always loved swimming through his plants and under his bridge.

So sorry to hear about your loss. Did you have any pics of him? He sounded like a beautiful betta.

Ohhh Dave and Stacy.. Im sooo sorry to hear about Sora. What a real shame, he was a sweetheart and we all know how much he was loved by you two. I loved watching his videos. You know, its a great thing to do the videos, now you will always have them to watch Sora. You are such wonderful Betta parents and doing such a great job with all of your fish but when our fish get sick, there are just some times that no matter what you do for them its just not going to help in the end no matter how much you try.
Sora had a great life...and you gave that to him, thats something to always keep in your heart.

Aww, I'm so sorry to hear that. You gave him a good life and did your best to care for him. What more could the little guy have asked for in life?
