cichlid, but which species?

Guys, anyone knows common/latin name of this fish? Thanks!

Convict cichlids don't have red fins. But it most likely an African cichlid.

check that site out african could be any of like 1000 fish...
that site is just to cichlids.

It's a kind of Malawian cichlid, most likely an mbuna. I have one myself and have never found out what it is. I remember learning it once then promptly forgetting it.

i saw in anohter post...there was a fish matching this distriction called a blueberry cichlid....its dyed

I went to www.cichlid.org and they have a photo gallery. there are a couple of them that look pretty similar. The aulonocara sp "mamelela has a bit more red on the fins...or it could be the aulonocara jacobfriebergi. I have no clue what the common names are...any way, good luck!

we dont think its one of those...i'm pretty sure its an african...what type im not sure of

Its definitely an African cichlid, a malawi i think. But no idea whats its name.

It is either a type of Cynotilapia afra or a zebra of some sort. Is the orange always that bright?
