Help ID these freshwater fish

I am a brand new aquarium owner, I purchased three fish today, two of the same type one pink and one blue , i think they may be rainbow fish but not sure, and the other one is a black one.

I wasn't able to record what type they are, would any body be able to help me identify them.

Thank you

Re: Help ID these freshwater fish

Looks like a black molly and the tetras are probably either bleeding heart or serpae tetra.

The black one is molly and the other two are dyed fish, white skirt tetras are often died to be pink, blue and green. They don't live near as long either and it is an inhuman thing to do to a fish.

Re: Help ID these freshwater fish

The pink and blue ones are definatley dyed White Skirt Tetras. They are often labeled as "Mixed Fruit Tetras" or "Strawberry & Blueberry Tetras" They are all dyed fish. I am sure that you had no idea about fish dying, but it is a very cruel practice that kills 90 out of every 100 that are dyed. I am sure that you will take good care of them, but I don't reccommend buying any other dyed or painted fish. They are more prone to disease and usually die shortly after you buy them. There are some awesome websites out there that explain the process. But like I said before, you didn't know and a lot of us have bought dyed fish without knowing. Good luck with your new waterbabies.
