i sort of inherited them so i have no idea. i've been to pet stores and i'm never able to make a match.

which other fish would be compatible?

boff is right on - they are Dwarf Neon Rainbow Fish. They like peaceful tankmates - maybe platys or rasboras, depending on how big the tank is.

look like dwarf neon rainbows to me too. in my sig there's a picture of mine. they are very peaceful and will go with anything. mine never bother any other fish. the 2 males flare at each other occasionally but no nipping or contact agression, its only when they're both chasing the female at the same time and competition errupts!! the female soon swims away so fast from them the boys are left staring!
