I am currently quarantining some fish for a friend and amongst the fish is this guy. I am not really up with my amphibians. I thought he was an african clawed frog but he doesn't seem to have the claws. He looks more like a african dwarf frog except he is huge about the size of the palm of my hand! He has webbing on his back feet but not the front if that makes a difference.

What do you think he is?



Also is this a blue gourami only he doesn't have the 3 clearly defined spots like the others i have see do.

It's an African Clawed Frog, and yes, they get big!
An African Dwarf Frog would have webbing between it's front toes.

The Gourami looks like an Opaline Gourami. Not 100% sure.

Its not quite so much quarantining the fish more of looking after them while they get the tank set up ready for the fish (repainting stand etc..). We have all the filters running, so they can instant cycle with the filters.
