my buddys mom has a fish that is about 5" and its yellow and black striped and she has no idea what it is and i looked tho all the fish on FL home page and didnt see it, unless i over looked it.. thanks for any help

it was a Leporinus i shoulda known that What do you guys know about them.. what can they be with?

lol ya, i use to have one and he was a mean thing. Are they all mean like that? What kind of fish should they be with?

Lepornius get to about 10" & can be a bit aggressive with each other but are usually fairly peacefull with other kinds of fish. Plants are usually a no no with these guys as they are full on herbivours & will quickly destroy all but the very toughest of plants. Sorry, that's all I remember about them.

okay thnaks all her other fish died and she called and ask me if i knew anything about them and i really dont.. so i thought i would ask fish lore.. thanks alot
