| | Fish Bum | Can anyone ID these fish? I saw these is a LFS with no label and the guy working there wasn't very helpful.
I particularly like the yellow/gold fish and was wondering if anyone can help ID them for me
Thank you |

thanks i learnt something. | Central or South American Cichlids prefer a lower PH, maybe that is what you read about. Many SA fish and cichlids live in waters with a PH of 6 or 6.5, soft and acidic waters..
African cichlids prefer a much higher PH. |

thanks i learnt something. | The rift lake cichlids (Lake Victoria, Lake Tanganika, Lake Malawi) are all beded down with tons of limestone, sand, etc. Their water is hard with a very high ph. Lake Tang is the highest of the three with the 8.6+ ph.
Lake malawi is 7.8+.
The west african rivers (Congo, etc) is blackwater like amazon, which is a soft acidic water. |
