Can anyone ID these fish?

I saw these is a LFS with no label and the guy working there wasn't very helpful.
I particularly like the yellow/gold fish and was wondering if anyone can help ID them for me
Thank you

they are african cichlids, i'm not an expert on cichlids but the yellow ones look like eletric yellow, but with out the black out line. i'm still not certain, wait for other suggestions.

They are africans, but not lake malawi. They are Tang cichlids.
The gold one is Neolamprologus leleupi (Orange)

And the black/white is Julidochromis transcriptus (Katoto)
http://www.cichlid-forum.com/profile...es.php?id=1545

They need extremely high pH with hard hard water.
Around 8.6-9.0 ph

Totally agree with Angela, and I think I see either a small frontosa or tretocephalus just above the leleupi on the left.

Central or South American Cichlids prefer a lower PH, maybe that is what you read about. Many SA fish and cichlids live in waters with a PH of 6 or 6.5, soft and acidic waters..
African cichlids prefer a much higher PH.

The rift lake cichlids (Lake Victoria, Lake Tanganika, Lake Malawi) are all beded down with tons of limestone, sand, etc. Their water is hard with a very high ph. Lake Tang is the highest of the three with the 8.6+ ph.
Lake malawi is 7.8+.

The west african rivers (Congo, etc) is blackwater like amazon, which is a soft acidic water.
