I agree with either the bleeding heart tetra, or the glassfish one. Do you have others for him to school with?

If has adipose fin, definitely Tetra. Dont think it is Bleeding Heart since even young BHT do not have red coloration on tail. At first thought of Rosey Tetra Hyphessobrycon bentosi, but have to see the changes as matures. It could be young Pristella maxilaris or Hybrids?
I guess you have to visit this LFS more often to find companions? lol. Find out the new arrival schedules, thus can find lots of hitchhikers (good way to obtain species otherwise impossible to get hands on) as I did.
What ever it may be, It is very pretty.

Hi namehater
I think this could be it---http://www.aquahobby.com/gallery/e_buenosm.php
So my guess would be a Albino Buenos Aires Tetra.

Sorry I just now saw that someone else had already post that guess. But that would be my guess also. I was trying to put the link on here of a picture of it but something is not right I will try again.

I don't think it's a Buenos Aires. I have one, and the body type is different. In the photo you linked to, it's at an odd angle (sort of turned to face you), so you can't really see, but Buenos Aires tetras are actually more long and slender.

it could be a hybrid between that one and some sort of danio or gourami

Def. not a gourami, it's too small and the shape is wrong. Plus, it doesn't have the funny feelers. I think it is definitely all-tetra, though I'm not sure whether it is a hybrid or just an albino. I still think it's an albino pristella, but I could be wrong.

Tetras(it's definitely a tetra),danios and gouramis won't cross breed ) They are all different kinds of fish.

Well, that's the best I got. It sure looked like it from the picture. But at least we have narrowed it down to a tetra of some sort. This is interesting I'm going to keep an eye on this thread because I'm curious to find out what it really is.

Like I said, Rosy Tetra pop in my head first. If not H. bentosi, maybe young H. rosaceus. Google for Rosy Tetra although all pics may not be correct but a start. Hybrid is always a possibility.

Hi Namehater
Are you sure it is not the Albino Buenos Aires Tetra because I found this video and it looks just like it. Go to the video on the page and watch and see what you think. http://bluegrassaquatics.com/compone...e=shop.flypage

It sure looks like it to me.
