Question: Male or Female Firemouth

Could somebody please verify the gender of this Firemouth Cichlid. I want to get a tank mate for this one but it is a very territorial fish and I need to know if it is male or female. Please Help! Thanks in advance.

i think its a male because of his coloring but im really not sure

It may be a male. Males have longer dorsal and anal fins then females who's fins are more stocky. Its hard to say for sure...

I say it's a male cause the dorsal and anal fin are to a point! I had a female firemouth and her dorsal and anal fin was rounded and she was smaller.
