need help identifying this mbuna

i have a guess, but i want to see what you all think

pic #2- he is the one in the middle
pic #3- this is his actual coloring, the first 2 make him look kinda yellow

The pictures didn't load for me. Did you hit 'manage attachments' 'browse' and after clicking on the proper image file then 'upload' before posting?

I'd say its a mix. I can't see any one species shining through at this point. Last picture makes it look like a Rusty Cichlid, but the other 2 show a mix to me.

but the first 2 pics make him look yellow...the third pic is his actual coloring...he has NO yellow on him, its all burnt orange/brown...my camera just sucks lol

It's either a rusty or a female of some other kind you have in your tank. Oh see it's not...
If is a rusty, the other fish are too aggressive to be housed with it. You should NOT have two Melanochromis species in one tank let alone a tank that small. They will fight til death when mature. Especially with Malawi cichlid you NEED to research before buying.
