Guys, I got one pair of the below fish from a reliable store in my area. The store guys says, this is one is called "FEATHER". Its really look like a feather dead black in color (similar to black molly), and the beauty is it does not swim, in the sense it floats inside water through all corner of the tank, in every alignment, upside down, horizontal, vertical and all directions you can think of.. but it just floats...

Have attached one photo of this fish.. I am looking for the exact name of the species, with the scientific name if any one knows.... I searched in the internet with feather... but I am unable to find any....

That looks like a knife fish.. I'll let our members who recognize which species to ID the species of knife fish.

I think CO is right . A black-ghost knife fish would be my guess .
They are pretty cool .
All the tanks I have seen with them have plastic tubes stuck in the gravel on an angle . The fish seem to like going in them . Clear UGF riser tubes let you watch the fish in the tube .
I will try and find the scientific name for you .

Thanks a lot Guys... "Black Ghosh Knife Fish" is actually the name...
Also the scientific name from Seedy is also the correct one...

I am finding them extremely communal and peaceful, although wiki says they are prone to eat smaller fishes. and hence should be kept with large ones..
however they very non chalant about two small black mollies and two sunset platy I have .. they just float all around on their own...

I have also found them a perfect companion with Discus along with Denisonii.
