P1010326.jpg I looked into my tank this afternoon and saw that my dalmation mollie female was on her mouth face down tail straight up. Just there doing nothing and hardley breathing. So I told my husband I thought she was not going to make it through today. My 4 year old and 3 year old were very sad,I was really sad. I watched her for about 2 hours and nothing she was still there on her pointing down. So my husband said, take her out poor thing she is almost dead, put her in the toillet and flush her. So I told him NOOOO are you kidding me she not all dead yet. So i left her there.
One hour ago i looked in to the tank and she had a funny ball coming out of her rear. She was still in the corner nose down. I yealled at my husband and kids to come see!!! and to our surprise she was giving birth to many babies....lots of them. So next time you see you mommy upside down let her be she might just be having babies. They are so cute and they come out in a little ball and swimming to the bottom. I counted at least 20 so far.She seems to be taking breaks between the births.
I am so happy. My other dalmation had babies bafore but i never saw how or when.

Oh wow, that's great. Good thing you didn't give up on her, good job. Do you have a place to put the babies?

Yes I have 2 nesting plants in there. I had a baby box too, but by the time i saw what had happened it was to late to take the mommy out. so i put the plants in there for the babies. i hope they make it.
