What is this?

1st and foremost this is NOT my fish.

My mother friend has it and from what my mom told me over the phone I thought that is was a Chinese high fined catfish.

Here are some pictures.

Any ideas?

EUREKA!

I Googled "silver and black spot high finned catfish" and found what it is.

It's a Feather-Fin Synodontis also known as a Feather-Fin Catfish or Feather-Fin Squeaker.

That was easy.

Also, they can get fairly large, reaching SL lenghts of just over 7 inches

They not only get long but massive also. Mine was about seven inches long when he went to ive with a friend. He was not really aggressive but he wanted to sleep in the clowns caves with them and they didn't like that so he would go sleep with the Rhino plec and HE didn't like that. The tank was stirred up all the time. Would love to have another someday.
