Can you ID this fish?

I think it is some kind of a cichlid but I am not sure. He was sold as a rummynose rasbora but I know he isn't one.

Anyone?

wow. he's sure a little guy.. I'm pretty new to cichlids. I'm pretty sure he's an african and maybe a lake malawi species? www.cichlid-forum.com would be a good source to browse.

Not a rummy nose for sure.
It is too small to accurately i.d. .
Update this post in a few weeks and maybe he will have grown to the point he can be i.d.'ed.

Yep, he's a bitty one, but I think too he's leaning toward a Lake Mel Af ciclid. His stripes look like they are forming...Dino will get it for sure, as he gets mature. He's cute

It actually looks like a very young cockatoo. But it looks way to small to tell.

He stays near the bottom, and my new apisto. viejita female has seemed to take him under her wing (figuratively) and is gaurding him from the male apisto and other fish.

My only problem is that while he is in the tank I have to have my Black Paradisefish all locked up and seperated from him, but I probably would have had to do it anyway because he was eating my RCS. *shrug*
