it's definitely not a gourami... I checked all those. Somebody told me that it might be some of the new world cichlids. I got Firemouth cichlid which looks very similar but it seems different by the fins and colors. The head is completely blue and doesn't have orange like firemouth on the bottom. I can make some more pics if this helps. Thanks

It does look a lot like a paradise gourmai, but it's not got the feeler fins. You might want to look through the profiles at http://www.cichlid-forum.com/index.php

I have a paradise gourami, and you're fish looks nothing like him. Paradise look like a larger longer betta, same body style with long fins and a double pointed tail fin, even the same "face". Mine seems to have the same type of betta personality too, so he's a funny boy! I think your fish looks like he's in the ciclid group. But the FF look up is a very good info place to look. He sure is a beauty though

Also, if you clic on my camera under my picture you can see 2 pics of my paradise, if you're curious what he looks like. Dino was the one who helped me ID him, cuz I didn't know what he was at first.

There are several diferent color patterns for sevrums.
Some man made, others based on collection points.

the problem is - there is no green color what so ever... there is blue, orange and black marks-stripes....

The bottom pictures in the link Dino provided does have green in them. Right between the vertical bars is the green coloration. When referring to a lot of fish being 'green' it is a faint coloration that is hard to see in pictures, and often doesn't look green, but that is just how it is called.

Upon further research, it appears to be a young Heros sevrus, variety rotkeil, commonly know as the red sevrum.
