Anything Wrong with this?

Just bought this Shubunkin but when i reached home i realised it doesn't have a dorsal fin at all!!! Just a hump in its back. It is active and seems ok. I am thinking of returning it back to the store but would like to take ur suggestion first. Look at the pic and pls let me know if it is ok!

It should be ok.
I do not see any reason to return it other than the way it looks.
The fish should be able to go thru life with no problems because it lacks a dorsal fin.

He probably tells all his fishy friends that he lost it in a fight with a shark, but that they should see the shark... or what's left of him.

There are some types of goldfish that do not have dorsal fins, with the hump on the back, it could be a cross breed. Also, it could have worn off the dorsal fin. A friend of mine had goldfish in a pond that had sandstone shelves/caves. Several of his goldfish literally sanded off their dorsals because they would swim under the sandstone and rub against the underside of the rock.

In my opinion the body shape is all wrong to be a cross of lionhead goldfish and any other type. It was probably born without a dorsal fin, no different than a kid born without an arm, leg, toes, etc.

yea.. one of the petsmarts here has a nice big bowfront tank that's home to "Lump" an Oranda born with only 1 eye and we always go over to see him when we're at that store. Your guy needs a cool name!
