Those are Archocentrus sp. "Cutteri"
I just got 6 as a present from Dino Claus
although supposedly mildly aggressive mine have been really calm and non-aggressive so far and they have been delightful.
They probably are in a jar or something for photographing but I thought they looked like they were on a plate of some kind

Those look like an archocentrus species or a hybrid. I love them all. Super aggressive when breeding...they pair off and rule the tank.

They look more like baby convicts...than anything I have had or seen.

They look more like keyhole cichlids to me to be honest.

Definitely not keyhole cichlids. Keyholes don't have those distinct bands on their sides. They may have a black stripe, but they have a large, vertically long spot on their posterior.

Juvinile wolf cichlid perhaps? (Parachromis dovii)
