| To me it almost looks like a juvenile congo tetra, from its colouration near its tail. |

| It isn't a congo tetra, there is no adipose fin and the mouth is a superior mouth not terminal like the congo tetra.
About how big is it? Does it have a black lateral stripe? |

| No Black lateral stripe but it does have white. And about 2 1/2 inches long. Last edited by Mobitex; September 28th, 2007 at 09:49 PM.

| Hey Marc, I looked at the link for the Danio. But the colours are off. Mines silver and white. But they look very similiar.
Thank you all for the responses. |

| LOL, this is one hard fish to figure out! It looks like all 3 of them to me: like Congo Tetra, Turquoise Rainbow, and some Giant Danio, lol Well ... it looks like a bit of all of these 3, but not completely.
Maybe a Trifasciata Rainbow with colors not yet fully developed? Honestly, no idea! We need Carol (Butterfly) or Dino here! |

| I would go with rainbow due to dorsal fin placement.
Good luck. |

Good luck. | To me it looks more like a danio/devario dorsal, a rainbows extends from middle-back to tail but this fish' doesn't. Here are some examples:
Rainbowfish dorsal:
Danio dorsal:

| Probably a Pearl Danio, possibly a Blue Danio. |

| No, it could not be a crossbred hybrid of the two.
The pictures shown in the example above, the three pictures (one danio one of the fish in question and one of a rainbow all dorsal fin shots) I would like to point out the fish in question's dorsal fin is shaped exactly like the dorsal of the rainbow pic provided. |

| Keep in mind that most dorsal fins look that way when lowered. |
