Re: food!!

Great idea! Definatly will try it.

Don't use broccoli unless you are going to do a water change the next day as it makes the water AND your house stink. Yellow Summer Squash was a fav with my fish. Brianna

Re: food!!

I haven't tried tomatoes yet, but last night i gave mine a slice of cucumber, and within minutes it had eaten several holes right thru it. By this morning the only thing left was the rind!

Re: food!!

I would consider myself cheap compared to the rest of you guys, I only treat my fish a CUC and other fish type foods.

we don't do any citrus.. so far, the favorite fruit has been cantaloupe (ie: muskmelon)

Re: food!!

I know that my fish love long strands of cucumber peel. They eat the fleshy bits off it. I use really long strands otherwise it takes them ages to notice there is something new in the tank.

That could be interesting to try.

we're just trying different fruits with our bettas to see what they each like. i guess it would be pretty much the same deal with your crayfish and fruits/veggies.. you can try out different produce on him and see what he likes. just try to get either organic produce or take the skins off what you get so that you can reduce the risk of chemical poisioning to your crayfish.
