| Re: Fish Food: Goldfish + Tropical. Goldies have different needs than tropicals. They need less meat in their diet, and do better with plants and plant proteins. Be careful not to feed them too much meaty foods on a regular basis. I have read this can cause them lots of problems. |

| Re: Fish Food: Goldfish + Tropical. The profile states 65-78F. I think the 65F is a little cool for them .They still need a heater to keep the water temps at a steady temp. Room temp will vary from morning to night and without a heater so will the water temp.

| Re: Fish Food: Goldfish + Tropical. There are too many cold water fish for me to list. Here is a book I have on cold water fish and it's very interesting. http://www.petsparade.co.uk/books/co...m-fish/?p=1132
Besides making your own list would be more beneficial for you as you could read about them as you research them

| Re: Fish Food: Goldfish + Tropical. I'd keep the Platys water temp at least at 22C, but ours are always at 25-28C, usually 26C and happily eat anything that they see. They aren't really coldwater fish and definitely do need a heater. http://freshaquarium.about.com/od/fi...dwaterfish.htm - check this link out and use google.com to search for "coldwater fish" and you'll find tons of information on them. |

YAZAN, | Moderators are those that mainly keep the peace on a site, and make sure that information given by other members is in the best interest of the fish. |
