what's the best way to keep live blood worms....is it safe to keep in the fridge

Hello Raptor. I use to have a tank stocked with creek fish, Red Breasts, Bream. I fed them worms of all types and I had no problems keeping them in the fridge for up to a week. After a week they got kind of nasty and I threw them out and into my compost barrel.

I buy a very small portion--a couple table spoons--from my LFS from time to time and am instructed to keep them in the fridge. Just enough water to cover them in a small container, changing the water daily to keep them from stinking. I usually use them up within 3 days, and this works fine.

Side note: I use a pair of chopsticks to pick them up and feed them to my goldfish. It's so funny to watch my goldfish eat them from my chopsticks like noodles!
