how to feed?

I'm concerned that my new bandit corys aren't really getting much to eat, since my danios eat most of the food i put in, and the guppies seem to get the rest. I have tetra color-enhancing flakes, tetra color pellets (tiny pellets that sink to the bottom), and also once every few days i drop in a few freeze-dried blood worms.

The LFS said I didn't need algae wafers for the new corys, but then I came home and read on the care sheet that they do. So I'll go buy some. I had looked at the packs, and am not sure what to get. They seem to come in a few different sizes, so do I get the small discs? Do I just use one? How do they share it? Will the other fish eat it?

Also, do I need spirulina flakes?

I'm vegetarian, and won't put frozen worms and such in my freezer, sorry if you were going to suggest that.

Thanks for your help.

Just get the small discs. Drop one or two in depending on how many corys you have. 3-4 will eat off the same tablet at the same time. You won't need spirulina flake as 99% of algae tablets have spirulina in them anyway. Don't just feed the Corys the algae tabs though, they need variety like all fish do. Try feeding the small sinking pellets after the lights go out & the corys are a bit more active. Also you can try feeding flake & pellets at the same time, (use smaller portions of each food), so that you target feed the surface fish with the flakes & the bottom dwellers with the pellets. There are also larger fast sinking tablets for catfish that you can feed to the corys. Use them the same as the algae tabs, one or two at a time depending on how many corys you have. The other fish will pick away at anything you drop in there for the corys but you will still find they get plenty & you will have to remove any excess food after 5mins so that it doesn't just rot in the tank.
