How fatty are Earthworms?

My boyfriend now discovered that the way to my Oscars hearts....are through their stomachs.
He gives them rinsed earthworms from my backyard. There is no chance of pesticides.
But how often is this okay? I know meal/wax worms are super fatty - and should ony be fed once a week. Are earthworms the same way?

earth worms can be part of a regular diet...3-4 times a week with their feedings is ok...they eat them like spaghetti LOL

Rofl. That was exactly what I thought when I saw it.
I was freaking out, but Joe wasn't bothered. lolol
One jumped and bit his finger to get to the worm.

Alright, it's good to hear that my babies can have them often since they seem to love them so much.
The Cons were trying to get in on it too. lol

Fair warning though... Extra protein usually conditions fish for spawning. So if the earthworms are being fed often.... babies!

rofl, my Cons are raising some babies now already.
I kinda want to see if my Oscars show ANY signs if spawning behavior, because so far nothing. And I want to know if they are males or females!

Oy vey. Well, they're still small yet - about 6". So I'll just keep my fingers crossed till when they get older & get their own tank.

Oh boy, well I'll be waiting in the wings for it. lol
Last night they got more worms, and the BR Parrot ate half of one before the Oscars even realized what happened.
She was a quick little thing! My momma Con got one too.

The Oscars? They are doing beautifully.
My mom has formed a strong hatred for the black tiger, He leaps us and bites fingers that dangle over the tank. He's gotten her twice, and Joe once. The albino is much more even tempered, and is absolutley gorgeous!
Your Cons are doing very well too, they scare the Oscars when they are breeding, rofl. Such spunk in such a small package!

I could get the pellets, but the free nightcrawlers in my backyard are better in my book.
