feeding time

I feed my fish 2 times a day. In the morning I feed only flakes, and at night I feed flakes and drop in a shrimp pellet or algae wafer for the corys (switch it up every day). My question is how do I know if my corys are getting enough food? They eat the shrimp pellet in about 2 hours and nibble on the algea wafer all night (gone by morning).

They say a fishes stomach is about the size of the eye. So you dont want to over feed your fish. I would say what your doing now is fine. Just keep a eye for any left over food. Hope this helps.

I agree with WolfPack21. A fishes stomach is about the size of there eye and they can live without food for 2 week so you don't have to worry much on under feeding. Sometimes it's good to skip a day so the fish can have a chance to clean out its digestive system.

Hello Riot! I think you're doing fine. Don't forget that the cory's can swim all over the tank to get food and not just food that sinks to the bottom. Just be careful to not over feed. Over feeding can lead to a lot of problems down the road. Take care and have fun!
