| | Fish Bum | Nobody eating freeze dried bloodworms I have guppies, zebra danios, swordtails and neon tetra and none of them care much for the freeze dried bloodworms. I'm suspecting they're too big for their mouths. Has this been your experience? |

| | Fish Master | Our guppies and neons go NUTS for the bloodworms! In fact, everything except for our corys love them, even the bettas.
Maybe they're just picky. Have you tried brine shrimp? I've heard they love that as well. |

| | Moderator | Good morning. You may try adding a few drops of garlic juice to the blood worms. Regular garlic/juice from the grocery store is fine. |

| | Fish Keeper | Hmmm....my fish go crazy over them. What I do is pinch them a little to break them up a bit. |

| | Fish Bum | Yeah...I was thinking of crushing them with my fingers to break them up. But ooof, they smell bad and I really don't want to get that icky smell on my fingers. |

| | Fish Helper | My danios, swordtails, tetras, sharks and angels go mad for them. I put a block in and it is gone in minutes. |

| | Moderator | Sometimes fish don't realize a new food is really food so it may take feeding the freeze dried bloodworms a couple of times for them to get the idea
Try feeding the BW first before feeding anything else, that way their hungry.
Just some thoughts

| | Moderator | You can buy minced garlic in a jar and use the juice from that. It may be in the produce section or possibly the spice section in the grocery store. Anytime fish are not eating, the garlic has been recommended highly on this site. |

| | Fish Bum | Interesting, I already have chopped garlic in water in the fridge, I never would of thought about using that. So you take some water out of the jar and soak flakes?, do you have to wait until it dries before you feed it to fish that stop eating? |

| | Moderator | No need to wait, just drop it in. You can also put a couple of drops of garlic juice in your tank water. Garlic stimulates their appetite and their immune system as well.

| | Fish Keeper | You can also try tubifex worms instead of the blood worms. My mosquito fish LOVE the tubifex worms, but don't care as much for the blood worms. Same with my goldfish. Usually they will eat the bloodworms after they have soaked up a bit, but I just buy the tubifex worms instead now. |
