Hi
I've moved your thread to a more appropriate section of the forum.
When creating a thread you can start here:
FishLore Forum on the main forum page and navigate to the proper forum.

Usually with frozen foods, you can thaw some in a cup of tank water. How you feed and how much depends on the type of fish and food.

For instance with my bettas, I feed thawed frozen blood worms. I thaw a few and use a toothpick to drop them one by one in the tank. That way I know none are floating down to soil the water if they don't find them.

With Frozen brine shrimp, I thaw in tank water and dump some in for the fish in my 30g to enjoy. With the bettas, again, I feed one by one.

Frozen daphnia is thawed the same way. Since it's so tiny, I just dump a little in the tank.

how often should the frozen daphnia be fed to the fish? i have 11 small fish in my tank and give them flaked food 3 times a day. but i bought frozen daphnia earlier today, and as it is only used as a food supplement, how often should the fish be fed this? and how much of it?

sorry to use your thread richard, but it may be helpful to you too.

Alternate your frozen foods with the flakes. I try to do 3 small feedings a day and do frozen for at least one of those 3...sometimes all. Variety is best for your fish. I use frozen brineshrimp, frozen red worms, frozen mysis shrimp and a frozen mix...and flakes, pellets, etc. at different times. There are no set rules as to what and when.
Careful not to over feed with the frozen foods...start with a little and adjust to be sure it all gets eaten!!!
