As was mentioned in the link Shawnie provided, kensfish.com is a great source for a variety of foods; for goldfish, he has a flake and a pellet.

Both are less than $7 for a pound, plus shipping.

they also love fresh veggies--- suction a clip to the tank for blanched zucchini, romaine lettuce, cucumber, and also peas, blanch in 1/4 cup of water, de-shell and feed soft (not mushy). Since some of the fancy goldfish (the egg-shaped ones) are prone to swim bladder problems, I avoid feeding mine too much flake (they ingest too much air). I put their food in a cup of water first, then pour it into the tank, allowing it to sink. I also give sinking pellets like brine shrimp & algae bits.

nls is supposed to be awesome. Unfortunately it is twice the price of omegaone where I live (don't know about all around). I would suggest Omega, nls, or ken's. Sinking pellets only. Supplement with fruits and veggies There is also Mazuri gel food... but I haven't been able to locate that. Hikari is good but I would choose it last over the other options I said.

peas are given when goldies exhibit buoyancy problems (swimbladder, also called flipover), and digestive problems. Swimbladder problems are more serious, but sometimes goldies get plain old gas !! From swallowing air, or from gas producing grains found in many commercial goldfish foods.

frozen peas are fine as long as you blanch in a cup of water in the microwave for about 15 seconds or so, just to make them soft. Allow to cool off, deshell the pea, and mush it up into a paste. You can suction a veggie clip and clip it to the side of the tank, or just squish it against the inside of the tank for that matter, or just let it sink to the bottom, they'll find it!

as with everything, moderation! When I give peas, it's only a mixture of about 2 or 3 peas mushed up.
