That is pretty tiny...What else do you have in the tank?? Does the fry box have tiny holes in it so warm filtered water can flow in and out easily..I would give it some squash or green beans..IF you use squash you can just buy the frozen kind. boil it for just a min. to make it soft and put it in there..green beans you can use from a can just make sure they are the NO salt kind split them long way and remove the seeds. They should sink.

fresh veggies(zucchini, cucumbers, green beans) veggie wafers are also good. At that size they need lots of food and clean, warm water

yes the box has lots of holes on the sides. squash might be hard to get hold of here in the uk. i will try the green beans tomorrow. in the tank are firemouths, convicts ect so it wouldnt stand a chance in there yet. ive had him/her about a month now with a tiny piece of bogwood in there and every now and then 1 or 2 catfish pellets but i dont know if he eats them or they dissolve ?

how big is this fry box you're keeping him in? cause if it's small then he won't grow at all.

i still have about 20 year old BN that are only 1 inch long due to over crowding in their tank.. the rest are 2-3 inches. you need to get a tank for it, a 2 ft 50 litre is good enough for it to grow properly.

also, you can get squash anywhere like tesco, asda, sainsburys ect.
