fresh foods to feed fish.

i would love to see a list of all the different fresh foods members are feeding their fish, and directions for amounts and any prep too.
I have so far only tried zucchini . my plecos, yoyos, and snails loved it.

Try carrots, they contain carotene which helps bring out their colours.

If you boil them for a short while they'll be soft

zucchini and cukes for veggies...raw shrimp and beef heart for my cichlids....frozen thawed bloodworm and brine shrimp for all my bettas and most of all my other fish..

.but I do make my own in a blender then freeze it ..it consists of spinach, beef heart and shrimp, hikari pellets, vita chem, fresh garlic and a tsp of the fresh juice, a little bit of hard boiled egg yolk, broccoli, and plain gelatin ...mix all the ingriendeints except the gelatin in a blender, then take out and mix the gelatin in it...freeze it in the small trays you use for ice cubes..(really small cubes) and use as needed... dont forget the gelatin as I did that the first time, and it totally disintegrates in your tank without the gelatin LOL

I just had a thought:
If you raised Red Worms in a composting container (10 gallon ?)you would know that they where clean and had no pesticides or fertilizers in them.
