Big Al's Food

Not sure how many of you know about Big Al's, it's quite a big fish store in Canada.
Just a heads up about their sinking algae pellets. They disintegrate as soon as they get to the bottom of the tank.
I used them for a week in my 20g, every day I would do a partial water change and yet there would be debris and gunk floating around in the tank. I figured it was something with the food, just didn't know what.
Took me 3 days of intently watching my pleco eat the pellet to see that in about 2 mins the pellet dissipates into the water leaving behind bits and pieces of itself floating around in the aquarium, when I did a 60% water change and lifted the ornaments all that gunk from the pellets piled up under them, so there was a crust of uneaten food...Nasssstttyyyyyyyy stuff.

You don't have give plecos food everyday. A few times a week is good enough. You must be over feeding them.

You think? I gave him 1 every night.
Granted the pellet is pretty big and the pleco is still quite small...Hmmmm might be I'm just stupid :P
teehee, I apologize to Big Al if that's the case
