Switched over to Angelsplus.com food myself. Its a winner. Some of the best flake around as far as i'm concerned. So many varieties and you can custom blend it.

Aquatrol's spirulina 20 is the best flake I've tried so far.

O.S.I. Spirulina Flake Food provides a high amount of spirulina to your fishes. It can be fed to both freshwater and saltwater fishes. Spirulina is a strong natural source of pigments for coloring your fishes and also contains calcium spirulan to help stimulate your fishes' immune system. The flakes also contain all vitamins necessary for good health.

I bought some Omega one, and my fish hate it. They go for it, take a bit in and spit it out, then they just sit there and watch it float by until i put some tetra-min in which they love. Anyway to get them to eat it, or they just may be picky.

Ive tried mixing the two, as well as add some freeze dried bloodworms to the mix as well. still nothing.

I think fish just get used to whatever they're being fed, esp. if it's been that way for a while. When you introduce a new food, they get a little confused. My fish had the same response as yours when I first started feeding them Omega One. I had to wean them off the old Tetra-min. You might feed them a small amount Omega One once every other day to start, and then increase the frequency until they're completely on Omega One. It didn't take too long for me. Maybe a week or two at the most.

Omega one, read back of the lable and tell me you don't want to feed that to your fish. Here is a hint... Whole fish not fish meal... Shrimp not seafood meal. Check it out for your self

I use Nutrafin Max flakes and tetara blood worms. The blood worms at the time were all i could get, freezdried. was wanting frozen cubes. But it's looking like Omega one wins. "will need to pick some up "

I always have wardley flakes that I feed to my fishes they aren't too expensive and they don't cloud up my water if I don't over feed my fishes and if flakes have all been consumed by my fishes I think I might have tried aqueon flakes before they were also good too and my fishes liked them but I just wanted to get the wardley flakes since they are cheaper at some stores.

I also heard that fishes get bored of just eating flakes all the time, so I have live ghost shrimp, and frozen shrimp that's been frozen with all of it's rich nutrients in their body. It's pretty good since I just put it in the tank and the warm waters in my tank really get it to thaw quickly and I usually poke it around in the water for the frozen shrimp to come out.

Now my fishes feel so much better and I also have a Black Spotted eel too, and I heard they don't like flakes since they aren't "smelly" enough and eels hunt by smell I suppose since my spotted eel was able to smell my frozen shrimps and swim to it when it sank to the ground

I gave some to my ill severum and he LOVES it, he is feeling better and with more frequent water changes etc he's almost ready to go back into the pond in the wild but unfortunately I fed my fishes the shrimp for a few days until I left to Ireland, so my other friends who have been helping me take care of my fishes and the ponds are feeding the fishes well and they told me the Severum is feeling better

Now I don't have to worry a whole lot about my severum getting even more sick etc

PS: I'm sorry I told you a long boring story but I go off topic sometimes xD

One of the things people like about Omega One foods is what's not in it. It doesn't have fish meal(scraps) in it. It has whole fish in it. The skins of fish are natural color inhancers.

I use Omega One flakes as well. It seemed the best choice when I looked over all the foods. My fishies seem to like it quite well, and the DG gobbles up every scrap the greedy little bugger.

I also have frozen bloodworms as a treat. Only the DG seems to like those ... he'll even slurp them up from my fingers!

Come to think of it, the DG is the least fussy eater I have ever known ... human, animal, or fish o.O

tetra flakes

I am low on fish right now, but i feed them tetra min flakes. I have omega floating pellets as well for the larger fish when i had them. I put it in with the tetras and it is as big as they are. they carry it around eating bits at a time. funny to watch. So i will be switiching over to omega as soon as i am out of the other flake food. Anyone know about sera vaipan. I got it free with a order from DFS. The fish love it but that stuff smells horrible.

Check the ingredients. anything with whole fish in it smells to high heaven
I'm a huge fan of all the Omega One foods. Their frozen food is excellent also but hard to find.

aqueon flakes

I have always had cichlids for years so i have always used live food.I now have tetras, dwarf gouramis, platties and wags.I find that they only will eat certain foods. They all seem to eat the aqueon flakes.I tried omega one color, but they just wouldnt eat it,so i returned it.They do seem to like omega one tubiflex worms.I have also tried wardleys krill, but all my fish just seemed to take it in and spit it out or just simply ignore it.
