Winter Break Trouble

Hey everyone,
I have kind of an unusual problem coming up in the next month or so. I am currently going to school about 2.5 hours away from my actual home, and for winter break I was planning on getting automatic feeders for the two tanks in my dorm room. Then my plan was then to come after two weeks, make sure everything is fine and reload the feeders, clean the tanks, etc. and that should get them to the end of break.

However, as I was looking online at the different feeders, I realized one big flaw in my plan: how am I supposed to feed my gobies, who are snobs and only eat frozen brine shrimp, not the freeze dried kind? Does anyone know of anything else that gobies like to eat that could be put in an automatic feeder? Or can you think of another way to keep them alive for the whole month?

Thanks for your help!
Andrew

Is there a possibility that a desk worker or RA could feed them? I know that at my University that someone stayed at the dorms during the break. Maybe you know someone that will be staying there and you could ask them to feed them. Most people like feeding fish so it shouldnt be hard to find a volunteer.

Yea, I checked around, and because my college is pretty small (~3000 people), they are completely closing the dorms over break, except for the day that I'm coming, which is too bad.

@Shawnie: haha yea, thats a good point! I've been trying to get them to eat the dried stuff for the past few days, and not feeding them any of the good stuff, and I've already noticed an improvement in their stuck-up-ness. Instead of completely ignoring the food, they now nibble at certain parts of it before spitting it out! I think that if they realize that the dried stuff is all theyre gonna get, they will probably eat it.

This is what i get for buying carnivorous fish...
