KensFish.com fish food

Has anyone else tried this guys flakes, pellets or sticks? He makes a variety of fish foods using good ingredients. My angels really love the beefheart and earthworm flakes both of which I highly recommend. He has a flake specifically for angels but I have yet to try it. What I like most about his food is you can buy it in bulk as a low price so it lasts awhile.

I try to give all my fish a variety, this is what most of their diets look like:

Regular flakes 7x a week (HBH Frenzy or Wardly Essentials)
Veggie flakes 2x a week (HBH 8 or Kens)
Earthworm flakes 2x a week (Kens)
Beefheart flakes 2x a week (Kens)
Frozen bloodworms (Hikari) or California blackworms 1x a week as a treat

Despite all the bottom dwellers I have, I rarely ever feed sinking pellets and feed various flake 99.99% of the time. Half the flakes I put in end up sinking to the bottom so I figure everyone gets to eat enough.

If anyone is looking to add a variety to their fish's diets at a reasonable price I do recommend going to kensfish.com and checking out his list. He also sells HBH and NLS in bulk.

I swear by Kens fish.....his own made food is better & much cheaper than the brand names. We need to to do a huge order in a few months.

Definately. I am starting to swear by Kens food. HBH ain't too shabby either. I stick to them now but sometimes I'll get the 6.8oz of Wardly Essentials to use as their main flake. I rarely get anything else anymore.

I'll be ready to order a few more lbs of Ken's sometime next month. So far I've only tried the beefheart, earthworm and veggie blend which my fish eat right up.

I know you have angels too. Have they tried the blend made just for them? Which ones are staples in your fish' diets?

I am actually getting a blend for each species of fish we have. The betta pellets are cheap and you get A LOT.
I have tried/use his spirulina flakes, color enhancing flakes, the cichlid mix (not a repeat, my Africans didn't like it), Mysis shrimp, PU!! That is nasty smelling stuff. Never again.
You are making me want to do an order soon. My new red dragon male betta is not happy with my OMEGA ONE pellets.
This time I am trying a bit of everything. Plus getting some 25wtt heaters.

We use Kens foods for 90% of our prepared food needs.
His other offereings ( filters, bags, nets, ect) are excellent as well.

Glad to know this. Makes me feel we're on the right track with our fish food choice. Tho the Tetra min Pro crisps have been making the colors pop in the fish too. MUCH more expensive tho.
