I got some mysis shrimp for my fish the label said "will be devoured instantly by picky or newly imported tropical fish" How come they're not eating it, they spit it out and go for the flakes! I bought it because it was on sale and i had store credit. it's a good thing i didn't get a bulk container LOL
Why could this be?

Well, it's back to the old diet of flakes, pellets and bloodworms!!

new foods aren't always a big hit with fish who've always had a specific diet. Think 5-year old. When its time to try new foods, do they always like it? No. Mango does the same. Only recently did he start eating the fly larvae I bought him a while ago. Try adding ORGANIC garlic juice to the food and see if they take it. Garlic juice will add flavor, "variety", and vitamins to your fishes' diet

I agree TFA Also try feeding the Mysis first when they are hungry then if you want go back later and feed something else.
They are a little big for some of my fish but the Angels and Bettas love them although they did look at them a little wall-eyed at first.
