Zebra danios. OK to feed frozen bloodworms?

Hi,

Apologies if this question has been asked already. I did a search and didn't fine any previous references.

Is it ok to feed Zebra danios frozen bloodworms?

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to Fishlore

If they'll eat them, I think some thawed, frozen bloodworms as an occasional part of their diet would be ok.

Mine get some once a week. I thaw a cube of them out at the beginning of the week to feed to my betta's. Whatever is leftover, I put into my community tank at the end of the week. My Danio's devour them. (along with whatever else I put in the tank ie; ciclid pellets, carnivore pellets, veggie rounds, brine shrimp, peas and zucchini, as well as just the staple flakes, not all at once of course!!) They seem to eat any and everything and are thriving.

Not only do they eat bloodworms, I find that about a day or so after I feed bloodworms they spawn! I have used bloodworms as a spawning trigger several times and it has always worked for me.
