Brine Shrimp Hatcher?

Has anyone use one of these in a fresh water tank?

Continuous Hatch 'N Feeder
Here is link to show you what I'm talking about.

They say that the saltwater that is needed to hatch the BBS does not mix with the water. Is that ture? I have some shy fish as well as some bold fish. Do some or all the fish wind up being over fed?

Any tips on using one of these would be most helpful.
Thanks

Sounds like it works. Being only 11 dollars it might be worth a try.

I have used it with angel fry after they are past the 50% water changes a day
It takes about 24 hrs for the shrimp to hatch and then they swim out of the tiny holes in the front of the hatchery, They last about 24 hrs, so what I did was about every 24 hrs I would take it out , do a water change, clean the hatchery and re start the process. the hatcher says you don't have to do this but it starts to stink with dead shrimp if you don't and yes the ammonia and Nitrites do come over into the tank water. As long as I did a water change and re-started it every 24hr it was great. The shrimp are so small it's hard to see them but when all the fish are swimming in front of it gorging you know their coming out LOL

Welcome. When you pick it up out of the water you have to kind of tilt it back or the water will spill out of the hatcher. After I figured out all the little tricks it was a pretty handy gadget

I think we might have to pick up a couple of those. We have a system for getting the most bbs out of the eggs and getting the bbs into the tank without salt, but that looks like a time saver and great for a carnivore fry tank.
