Flake foods.

I understand that many fish prefer a wide range of foods, and intend to get an assortment of frozen/freeze dried, etc... but i'd also like to include a basic flake food as well (pretty standard community tank).

Is NutraFin Max Color enhancing flake food ok? i tried one specific to angels once, and they tended to spit it out alot, and it seemed... uh harder? than it should've been (for a flake food).

maybe it's a dumb question but there are certain brands of product out there that just seem... cheap/poor quality.

thanks!

Yes actually. If you look on the back of the food the first ingredient is probably "fish meal" which is pretty much parts of fish that no one wants. Are there high quality foods out there with fish meal? yes. I prefer to use a brand called Omega One it is a little more expensive but it does not use fishmeal as an ingredient. My angel Loves it too

Yea, I'd recommend Omega One products. Also cyclo-peeze flakes would be a good addition to their selection of foods.

I never knew that! I feed flake as a base food and all this time I have bad fish food! I just checked and it is 'fish meal' in every one! I need to get better fish food.

State Worker short timer!

New Life Spectrum is also a good brand of fish food. My fish prefer Omega One though.
