Brine Shrimp specific gravity range?

Does anybody know what range of salinity brine shrimp can survive in? I wonder because I think it would be interesting to see if I could get them to grow in my brackish tank. There are enough hiding places (like tons of Java Moss) that they might actually have a chance to survive, and the little guys would provide extra food for the Amano Shrimp as well as any molly fry that survive.

I believe we keep them here at 1.011-1.012.
They are breeding at this salinity.

Would it be doable to raise them in a small tank just for brine shrimp? Would you set it up with a regular HOB filter or a sponge filter? What do you use for measuring the salinity. I've been thinking about a brine shrimp tank for supplying occasional treats to our fish.
