Hi Zatch
I am sorry if some of these options are stating the obvious, but hopefully, you'll find a couple that you can use: - we give ours sinking pellets
- have you thought of target-feeding them (put the food close to their usual hiding spots)
- have you thought of feeding them at night
- they might be OK if you slightly over feed your other fish, so they'll find that food anyway. They do not need that much to survive.
- if you're worried they don't find the food, use garlic guard (although that will also attract the other fish)
- put the food on plant leaves, where they meet the stem. that's where our shrimps go look for food a lot.
This is based on what I do for cherry shrimps and amano shrimps. Sorry if my advice is incompatible to ghost shrimps unbeknownst to me.

Some good ideas from armadillo.
Sadly, feeding at night won't matter. Most algae eaters are bottom feeders, and most bottom feeders are just as active at night as during the day.
I would drop one piece in near the algae eater, then another near one of the shrimps' hiding places.
She's also right that shrimp usually get enough to eat because we all overfeed our fish, and the extra food sinks to the bottom. I still feed mine extra, just to be sure, though.

Yeah, I'd say that's OK, although I haven't tried it myself. I know that they eat leftovers from our other fish, who have garlic-dipped food, so I really think it's OK.
Sirdarksol, about the night feeding, good point.

yea one store sells them for 1 dollar and one right across the street for 30 cents. if u get 1 male and 1 female they would definetly mate if thats easier for you. the female would carry eggs on her belly and u could move her to a seperate tank or bowl or sumthing until she gives birth

2.50 isn't so far out there. Chances are that the places that are offering them for really cheap have a breeding setup, where they get the shrimp for the cost of food. Or they could have just got a huge shipment for really cheap.
As long as you didn't pay like $10 for them.

we have been feeding the tiger shrimp by putting in a little extra and when i put the extra food in i release it under the surface and move my hand around so that the shrimp should be able to find a decent amount of leftover food.

How long have you had these shrimps? I too was worried about this feeding thing but mine come out at night when we feed flakes and literally catch the flakes falling. i do put algea wafers in for the otos and they pick them up too. i wouldn't worry, they find food. It's their job!
