Cory food

I know they are bottom scavengers, but my guppies are pigs and scavenge any dropped food off the bottom as well. How often should I throw in an algae wafer or a veggie to supplement? My guppies really love the algae wafers and fight everyone off of them till they are done.

the corys constantly dig thru the gravel, sometimes i see them digging on my plants & decos as well, but tend to stick to digging on the ground. I'm just worried they may not get enough

Re: Cory food

You can buy sinking catfish wafers and feed them to your cories after lights out, should help them get more of it since the guppies will be less active.

Re: Cory food

also try breaking the wafers up and dropping pieces in different spots to improve their chances. I found that when we had corys and platys that the corys learned quick enough when feeding time was and would swim over to the food trying to get all they could before the platys sucked it down.

i'm not sure if a moonlight would help the corys any or not.. but it'd be cool to have.

Re: Cory food

I've noticed that the wafer are gone in the am, but do I know if they are eaten or just went to mush.

I swear my guppies never sleep!! They're like my daughter

Re: Cory food

well one way that might give you an idea of who's eating them is that if the gups are eating the wafers, they should be giving you lots of green poo.
