Feeding and Filter Quandry

I have a 10G tank with 2 african dwarf frogs (for now.) I started 2 weeks ago feeding them frozen bloodworms and feeding them every 3 days.

My question is this: If I am feeding every 3 days, does that mean I am killing the good bacteria in my filter by not feeding it. When I was cycling, I was told to feed the filter every 12 hours-1 time a day. I certainly don't want the problems that come with overfeeding, but I also don't want to kill my filter. And if I'm only feeding the frogs worms, is there anything beneficial for the bacteria, especially if they eat them all? If the frogs don't eat all the worms I don't think the decay helps anything, right?

Lots of questions.....Any ideas?

Thanks,

-M

No, not at all...Fish and aquatic life still produce waste...This waste (along with leftover food) is what is consumed by the bacteria and keeps the system in tact.

how much do you feed them each feeding? is there any chance you could split it into 3 portions and feed them daily? it might aid in digestion but either way they should continuously put out waste for you.

I've never kept frogs, so don't know what is correct for them, but as stated before, they should be producing waste every day even if you feed only every 3, so it should keep the bacteria going.

I agree with the other posters- the frogs are going to continue to produce waste even without the feedings being constant. My frogs get fed once or twice a week and are just fine.
