Hello all.

Would like to know how many cartridge slots the old style Whisper model 30 & 40 power filters have?

It would seem there's a slot for the bio bag cartridge and then a slot for the bio foam and frame. If that's the case, are the slots of the same dimensions?

I have some old one I got used.
The 30 has a bio foam that sits in a plastic frame. I don't have bio-bag in there, just a bunch of extra sponges but it looks like the slots are about the same size.

I've been debating about ordering a couple of these filters from Kensfish.

If I purchased them ... I'd probably use the following as media:

With the DFS cartridges, I wouldn't use their floss/carbon ... I'd just use regular floss or blue bonded pad with the clamshell frame.

I like the idea of the ceramic foam bio media cartridge being made to fit the filter.
