Many bubbles from filter?

I've got a lee's quick and easy corner filter in my 10 gallon tank. I stupidly changed the cartridge recently, but the fish made it out of that ok and the tank didn't mini-cycle, which was my primary worry.

However, the filter has been producing copious amounts of weird, almost soapy-looking bubbles. I add water conditioner to all water I use, so chlorine normally wouldn't be an issue... what's causing the bubbles? I have the exact same filter in my 5 gallon tank and it's not doing this...

what conditioner do you use? i know prime and stresscoat+ cause allot of bubbles if near the filter outtake...and especially if overdosed with it ...

I used stresscoat awhile back, but haven't in a couple weeks (I'd been using it when iskierka was hurt.) I've been putting in bio-boost, which is the LFS version of prime...

Hello Hooxeii. Check all of your connections. It sounds like unnecessary air may be getting into the filter some how. Just an idea

I agree with ken its air bubbles and sounds like something isnt connected right ....can you make sure everything is pushed down securely and check the way everything inserts again?

I'll check the connections. Thanks for the timely response, I'm so relieved that its only air!

You guys nailed it

I turned the filter off and re-checked all the connections, a couple were a bit loose, probably from the filter moving around ( Lily has worked out how to push it off the suction cups! ) Thanks
