I cant find the 110 foam, can I use 2 of the 70 and cut to fit?

Sure...is it same density just thinner?...go for it...you can buy nice bags of good foam at petco and always cut your own to fit. Blue on one side and white on the other...works great for me. It is firm and easy to work with.

Hello Red. One good thing about the Aqua Clears (AC) is that you can substitute media pretty much at will. Sponges, bio balls, bio tubes, floss, carbon. Whatever you have to do to get that media in there is all that counts Whatever you decide to use. I have two of them in addition to other filtration on my 265g. Love 'em!

Hello Red. I think you should be fine with just the 110 @ 500gph.

also check into quilt backing and 100% polyester at walmart or a craft store..you get a TON more and much cheaper ...the backing seems to be my favorite as you can cut to size and I paid $8 for 20 yards of it LOL ..perfume & dye free are a must
